KECK Canister® Hydrocarbon Recovery System

This passive hydrocarbon recovery system requires no power source or pumping. Using a series of hydrophobic filters and a skimmer buoy, the system collects and stores fuel until it can be emptied in a drum. The skimmer will float with groundwater fluctuations up to 12". Dimensions: 1/2L Canister: 50" L x 1.5" OD; 1.0 L Canister: 39" L x 3.5" OD. Both kits include a collection canister, discharge valve, skimmer buoy, hydrophobic filter and 25' of Teflon^®-coated stainless steel suspension cord. The smaller canister requires a minimum water level of 36" and the larger canister requires a minimum water level of 17". Available for 2"- or 4"-dia. wells.
